After viewing the DVF Spring 2011 Collection I can’t help but be inspired by her looks for this season. I’m not sure if it is the bright pink lipstick, flat & heeled gladiator inspired sandals, or the oversized jackets, shirts, & pants. Nonetheless, I am super excited about finding ways to incorporate her looks into my Spring wardrobe.
Here are my top 6 looks from her collection:
I love the bright colours mixed with the neutral of the pants & shoes. This combination allows the belt to pop + is a great contrast to the green of the dress shirt. The dress shirt is loose - yet flattering mixed with the fitted pant.
The classic wide leg short is so very flattering mixed with the flat silver gladiator sandals. The pattern of the jacket alongside the pattern on the shorts is very complementing - when in some instances this can be quite overwhelming to have the same pattern on pattern. The shade of purple is absolutely beautiful.
Suits are so flattering on women & especially when they have a casual flare to them as the one pictured above is.
Rust...this colour has not been around in forever & looks fabulous. The boxyness of the blazer & shortness of it makes the look work. New colour combo for 2011; peach & rust!
This is pretty much the best little black dress for 2011. It's sexy, sleek, & looks oh so comfortable. You could dress this up with a great strappy sandal, or dress it down in a flat similar to the one shown.
Overall, here is what you need to consider for your 2011 wardrobe:
- Casual Suits (match the colour of the pant & jacket)
- Bright dress shirts
- Pink Lipstick
- Gladiator Sandals in silver, gold, and neutral
- Match your bag to your outfit
